There are many ways you can be a part of the miraculous process of turning tiny puppies into confident and mature Service Dogs. Teenagers are welcome at the Torrington facility; however, because it is located on a school campus, there are fewer opportunities for teens at the Dobbs Ferry training center.

 For people who want to be involved with the dogs directly, our most popular opportunity is the HOME for the Weekend handler program. If you cannot take a dog home, you can help exercise dogs at our Dobbs Ferry campus.

Of course, you don’t have to be a dog handler at all to help out. We are always open to suggestions about ways to involve and educate members of the community. The three main areas where we need volunteers are in Public Awareness (getting the word out about who we are and what we do), Fundraising and Events, and at our Facilities (for adults only in Dobbs Ferry).
